The Guns of Cinema collection is a wide ranging sound effects library that offers gun sounds, gun foley, and indoor / outdoor perspective shots. It was developed by Frank Serafine and Rick Viers and was recorded in cooperation with the Macon County Sheriff Department of Detroit, Michigan. More than 2,100 gun effects were provided from the sheriff's private vaults, ranging from the original "Tommy Gun" and ammo confiscated from the notorious Chicago mob gangster Al Capone, to fully blown modern assault rifles, automatic machine guns, pistols, hand guns, impacts and ricochets.

The Serafine Collective sounds have been featured in many top Hollywood and video game productions, including Tron, Grand Thief Auto 3, The Hunt for Red October, Poltergeist II, Star Trek - The Movie, Star Trek - The Search for Spock, The Addams Family, Virtuosity, The Suffering II, Brainstorm, Short Circuit I and II, Orgazmo, Lawnmower Man, and Hoodwinked 2 - Hood vs. Evil.
